My guest, April, was in the foster care system from ages 13-18. Her story is unusual since she was in the same home that entire time. We get to hear what it was like going from being the primary caregiver for two younger siblings at such a young age, one of whom had cerebral palsy, to getting to grow up and recover from some of those traumas from the past. The best part is getting to hear how wonderful her story is now!
