Training Classes

“The class is a testimony of God’s work of rescuing and redeeming His beloved children. If you feel ill-equipped on your own, you can trust that God hasn’t left you on your own and that He will provide the strength, love and joy you need to be a blessing to these children. The class is a testimony to God’s work in and through parents and children - foster, adoptive and birth.” – Walter

COMPLETE YOUR TRAINING IN JUST TWO SATURDAY CLASSES! (most other agencies require attendance of a minimum of 2 nights a week for 6 weeks)

Next Foster/Adopt Training Classes will be held on Saturday, March 27th and April 10th from 9:30am to 9:00pm. Location TBA.

(Current foster parents: PAPH and Meds recertification classes will be held during the March 27th class. Call Lindsay or Lisa at 512-233-6464 to RSVP ASAP!!! )

If you would like to attend, please email mariah@familylinkkids.com or call Mariah @ 512-233-6464 or 512-945-8953 so we can begin your file and add you to our attendance list. You do not have to complete all the paperwork prior to the Training Class but it is preferable to have already submitted your Application and Criminal Consent forms.

To save time during our Saturday classes, we have a Potluck for lunch, and order Pizza for dinner. Please bring a dish to share for lunch and a few dollars for Pizza that evening.

Please remember, each class contains sensitive information not suitable for children. If you have children under age 15 you will need to find childcare. If you have teens or extended family that will be babysitting your foster children they are welcome to attend training.

If you have any friends or family who are interested in opening their heart and home to children, please let us know, as we really need more great foster or adopt parents. If you know anyone who wants to be a mentor or
a volunteer for a future weekend retreat for foster children, please tell them to contact us. They are invited to attend the Orientation class.

We really hope you can make it to the upcoming classes because there are so many children that need a safe and loving home and we are so glad you have opened your heart to think about these neglected children! Please let us know if you can make it.
