parenting:
downplaying the negative and up playing the positive
Don’t reinforce the negative behavior.
you talked about subjecting our children to movies and music that wasn’t appropriate. Miley Cirus, movies, etc.
Whatever we wouldn’t allow in our home, we shouldn’t allow on the TV or radio.
What goes in their brains today will influence them in the future
Its never too late. Take away the negative and inappropriate materials.
Replace it with positive movies and Christian music.
Violent video games will desensitize their mind
Get up and get outside.

This program is about turning children around. They do not need to spend their time on things that are not good for them. There are so many good and fun thing for children now. Replace negitive thoughts with positive ones. Also Mirah was talking with a women that just received a baby. She also talked about the process of becoming a foster parent.
Parents need to remain calm. Stressed parents in turn stress out their children.
Pay attention to the good behavior and downplay your reactions to the bad behavior.
By allowing your children to watch or listen to an artist or an actor you are in fact allowing that person to be a role model to your child. The parent needs to be the one to choose what we allow to influence our children.
I definitely agree that video game violence can be a detrimental influence on our children.
